Talking nails, Chocolate Orange nails, yummy!

Well i wanted to paint my nails today but couldn't decide what colour to wear on my nails. I wanted to wear some kind of orange but also some kind of brown.  So to solve the problem i just wore both :o).  These are my fave shades in these particular colour families.  OPI (Y'all come back ya hear?)  and Essie (Mink Muffs), just gorgeous and both colours a dream to apply.  Just one coat of the brown and 2 of the orange -   no steaks what-so-ever.  I normally only go for the ring fingers in a different colour, or glitter but thought i'd give this a whirl.  I like to live dangerously hehe.  :o)

Pretty colours hey?  Excuse the old lady hands *blushes*. This is my first time doing this polish modelling thing.

Really love warm autumnal shades, Autumn/Fall is my favourite season for shades/colours of makeup, clothes and scenery in general.  I don't know why, i guess they just look like colours of  coziness to me and put me i mind of being all wrapped up and warm.  I also find autumnal shades of make up are very flattering on all skin tones.

OPI - Y'all come back you hear?

And my latest absolutely amazing find is by Lacura from Aldi. Wow i love Aldi, the stuff there is so cheap and  really good quality.  I love their cosmetic and skin care line.  I saw this and thought at £1.90 what have i got to lose, so bought it to try out and i loveeee it.  Best thing i've ever used as an undercoat, hands down.  On a par with my Nail Envy i'd say. Works really well as a ridge filler too.  Basically it's just a Multi use polish, A nail gloss to makes nails look healthy, undercoat, topcoat and ridge filler all in one.

Designer Cakes

Wow!, just Wow!, isn't this just the smartest looking cake you ever did see?  The perfect girlie cake. For starters i'm just crazy about Handbags (or Purses to our friends across the pond) :-).  Imagine being surprised on your birthday with this cake Omg, i'd be screaming like a real girlie girl with excitement. I don't know who actually made it as i just stumbled across the picture it while on Google images, but i wish i did know because i'd love to get a cake made by them. Thing is i don't think i could cut into it and eat it as i'd be afraid of spoiling it. It was the same when my son was a baby and someone i knew who made novelty cakes surprised us with a gorgeous moses basket/crib cake for his christening. It was far too nice to cut into so sadly it stayed in the box untouched for about 5 years on top of the fridge, so sad really.
I'm looking into doing a college course in cake decorating and sugar paste crafting some time soon, so this kind of cake in the picture would be something i would aspire to be able to create on day.

Welcome to the birth of my first Blog

Hi there.
This is my first day in Bloggersland and it's all new to me so far, just tinkering at the moment & figuring out the whole setup & what buttons do what, where and when.  I'm not the best with computers and all that techie stuff but i'm learning.

This blog is going to be all about my 'Life' in general along with the good and bad, things i love, hate, things i've done, am doing, interests, hobbies, memorable events, shopping hauls, product reviews and much more.  I was originally intending on having a blog purely about beauty and fashion and my love for all thinks pretty, however really are so many more dimensions to my life that i'd love to talk about and share with anybody who cares to read it.

See you soon. xx
